Activate Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Today!
McMaster launched Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) service for Microsoft 365 in late 2021 to provide students, faculty and staff with a method to help secure their McMaster Email and associated applications and protect their accounts from the impact of account compromise.
MFA is a proven best practice that can help protect individuals and organizations and their data from IT security challenges including attempted fraud, data theft, leveraging email accounts to push out spam messages, and more. MFA for Microsoft 365 Email and services is one control that can help to reduce the impact of compromised accounts.
The universal adoption of MFA across campus is critical for improving McMaster’s IT security. The mandatory policy activation will be rolled out starting within the next two weeks. You will receive a one-week notice when Universal MFA Adoption policy will be activated for you.
