Khaled Hassanein, Dean of the DeGroote Business School at McMaster University, recently embarked on a significant visit to Member States of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), engaging in a series of high-level meetings and events to foster educational collaboration and enhance academic opportunities. This visit underscores McMaster University’s commitment to global engagement and its reputation as a leading institution in international education.

During his visit to Saudi Arabia, Hassanein met with representatives from Prince Sultan University to discuss pathways and executive education programs. He also visited Alfaisal University, where discussions centered around student exchange initiatives, joint programming, and executive education.

In Qatar, Hassanein held productive meetings at Qatar University, focusing on collaboration and following up on previous discussions. His visit underscored the commitment to building strong academic partnerships in the region.

The tour continued in the United Arab Emirates, where Hassanein visited the American University of Sharjah and Abu Dhabi University to continue discussion exploring potential collaborations. He also participated in several student recruitment events arranged by McMaster’s Registrar’s Office, participated in a guidance counsellor Iftar event in Dubai and met with several DeGroote School of Business alumni.

McMaster University is renowned for its dedication to academic excellence and innovation. Hassanein’s visit to the Member States of the Gulf Cooperation Council highlights the University’s proactive approach to expanding its global reach and fostering meaningful educational exchanges. By engaging internationally and establishing strategic partnerships, McMaster University aims to provide its students with diverse and enriching academic experiences, preparing them to thrive in a globalized world.
