Canadian Marketing League: First Case Submission Deadline

The highly anticipated 17th season of the Canadian Marketing League (CML) is in full swing, with the first round of this year’s case competition deadline soon approaching!
CML, Canada’s largest marketing accelerator for university students, particularly aspiring young professionals, provides an incredible opportunity for students nationwide to demonstrate their marketing prowess, tackle real-world industry challenges and kickstart their careers with a grand prize of $20,000.
Audrey Davidson, Head of Integrated Marketing at Microsoft, a CML learning partner, says, “participating in marketing case competitions like the Canadian Marketing League offers invaluable benefits for aspiring marketing leaders. These competitions allow students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios, honing critical thinking, creativity, and strategic planning skills.”
The race to greatness is on as the first case submission, which is based on General Motors’ (GM) new EV: The 2025 Chevy Equinox, closes on January, 24. Students will have an opportunity to submit a 3-minute video pitch to address the ask by GM.
“This real-world application of classroom learning is the very intent beyond CML” says Mandeep Malik Associate Professor and Area Chair for Marketing at DeGroote and founder of CML. “The Canadian Marketing League is a program that changes student expectations about the opportunities that education can deliver and the unexpected value that industry and academia alliances can create. Experiential learning is the new mantra.”
