The DeGroote Pride Association (DPA) is excited to host an Allyship Workshop! This interactive session is designed to provide a foundational understanding of homophobia, discrimination, privilege and bias, while fostering meaningful discussions on allyship and actionable steps for support. Participants will gain practical tools, including bystander intervention techniques, to help address discrimination and create more inclusive spaces.
The workshop will be facilitated with the help of McMaster’s Equity and Inclusion Office, featuring an interactive presentation, discussions and activities to reinforce key concepts. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the facilitator, ask questions and participate in conversations that encourage learning, reflection and growth.
Following the workshop, participants can network over snacks and refreshments, continuing discussions in a welcoming space.
