What happens to your research data when you graduate? How do you deal with data transfers when you change institutions? This month, McMaster’s RDM Community of Practice roundtable will focus on how researchers deal with exit protocols and data transfer.
Join a great discussion featuring:
- Maureen MacDonald, Dean of Science and a Professor in Kinesiology, as well as her grad students, to discuss data storage, backup, and documentation when students finish their projects and degrees.
- Blaise Bourdin, Professor of Mathematics at McMaster and Canada Research Chair in Mathematical and Computational Aspects of Solid Mechanics (Tier 1), who will share his process of transferring large volumes of data when he joined McMaster.
Details:
- Thursday, April 25
- Time: 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Location: Online (MS Teams)
- Register here.
This discussion is for McMaster researchers at all levels – faculty, graduate students, postdocs, and staff
