Congratulations! You are in the home stretch and your hard work will be paying off soon. But it’s important to note several things for your graduation. Below are some key information for you:

  • It’s important that graduate students do not apply to graduate in Mosaic. This process is intended for undergraduate students only and could interfere with your current ‘eligible’ status.
  • Your convocation ceremony will take place this June. All details related to convocation are arrange centrally through McMaster’s Office of the Registrar. Please check their website for details.
  • Remember to monitor your McMaster email account throughout the spring for important messages from the Office of the Registrar.
  • Professors are asked to submit final grades five business days following the last class or final exam. These grades are then reviewed and approved by three levels of university administration before they are posted to Mosaic. This process can take several weeks however the Student Experience team monitors grade submissions and approval daily in an effort to expedite.
  • Once all final grades have been received, academic advisors will manually review each student’s academic record and submit necessary documents to the School of Graduate Studies (SGS) to clear eligible students to graduate. SGS will then start their process and student records will be updated.
  • Students that require a letter of completion for visa purposes, are encouraged to email the request to the MBA team only after they see all final grades have been posted to Mosaic. They will review your academic record and provide a letter within two business days of the request. Remember to include your student number in all communications with any university office.
  • Information regarding unofficial and official transcripts, degrees and transcripts is available on the Office of the Registrar website.

Please email the MBA office with any questions or book an appointment.
