You are invited to attend the first annual conference and McMaster Centre for Research on Employment and Work (MCREW) launch!

This conference will bring together researchers from diverse disciplines to explore critical issues related to the changing nature of work and its impact on workers. Highlights include presentations by MCREW members from across the McMaster campus, a panel discussion on current challenges facing workers, a keynote address by Armine Yalnizyan, who is an Atkinson Fellow on the Future of Workers and a Toronto Star columnist, as well as a graduate student poster session.

MCREW was created so researchers could come together to study the changing world of work and challenge established theories. Through their interdisciplinary approach, MCREW hopes to deepen the understanding of how employees navigate, adapt to and resist changing workplace demands and how worker behaviors and expectations affect organizations.

Important details:

  • Date: Friday, May 2
  • Time: 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. ET
  • The conference is free to attend
  • Stipends are available to cover travel expenses from nearby universities
  • If you have any questions, please contact MCREW via email for details
  • Please visit their website for more information about MCREW and a detailed schedule
