McMaster’s Exchange Program will officially launch the week of November 6 – 10, 2023 for students applying for outbound exchanges for the 2024 – 2025 cycle. This coincides with International Education Week being held at the MUSC Marketplace.
During this week, we encourage Commerce students to attend the Exchange Fair:

- Time: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Location: MUSC Marketplace
Registration is not required.
Applications for exchange in 2024-2025 will open on November 1. The password to create an application will be included in the 2024-25 General Exchange Information Session.
The General Exchange Information Session will be shared on the Global Experience website.
To apply for the 2024-2025 cycle, you must:
- Be a Level 2 student,
- Have a GPA (Grade Point Average) of at least a 7.0 at the end of the Fall 2023 term.
- Completed 60 units of coursework at the end of the 2023-2024 academic year.
Commerce students currently in Level 3 must Petition if you plan to go in your final year of the Commerce program.

- STEP 1: Visit the Global Experience website.
- STEP 2: Join the Exchange Teams Channel.
- STEP 3: Attend the General Information Session
- STEP 4: (optional): Book an appointment with an Exchange Ambassador. Appointments will open on OSCARplus in November.
- STEP 5: Attend the Commerce Faculty specific Information Session
- FINAL STEP: Meet with an Academic Advisor
Once you have utilized all the resources available to you as indicated in Steps 1 – 5, you are ready to meet with an academic advisor from DeGroote’s Student Experience office. Appointments can be booked on OSCARplus.
