We are pleased to be offering a new Selected Topics Course in Leadership Development for the Winter 2025 Academic term under course code B718.

This practical leadership development course is meant to provide a learning journey for students as they assess and adjust how they wish to lead their lives in both their personal and professional worlds. The teaching methods in this course include self-awareness testing through a variety of established diagnostics; experiential exercises; book report summaries; HBR article facilitations; a six-week transformative learning experience with two embedded leadership development reports; and a TED Talk-like delivery. The transformative learning experience involves changing frames of reference, habits, and established patterns of behaviour – all of which require taking risks and a willingness to be vulnerable and have attitudes and assumptions challenged. Past students of this course have reported life-changing improvements in skills such as emotional intelligence, positive thinking styles, conflict & stress management, time management, values-driven decision-making especially in career choices, communication management, team management, transition management, & overall performance management.

A full, detailed course outline will be posted to our website closer to the start of the winter term.
