To help you prepare for graduation and avoid any last-minute confusion, here are the key updates and important details you should be aware of. This includes information about your graduation status, timelines, available documentation and where to direct specific questions or requests.
Here are the most important things you need to know:
- Make sure that if you are graduating this June, that it shows Winter 2026 as being the correct term. Your status should say Eligible at this point!
- This only applies to students who have completed their degree requirements this term.
- If you are completing your requirements during the Spring/Summer term you will be applying for graduation in the Fall.
- For the majority of your Convocation/Graduation questions, please reach out directly to the Registrar’s Office/Student Services here.
- Early Conferral
- Considered on a case-by-case basis
- Submitted to RO through Mosaic Service Request
- Available to students only if they meet all of the following:
- No other proof of graduation option mentioned previously is sufficient
- Not currently enrolled (i.e. final term must already be completed)
- Student has a requirement of actual conferral from professional school, employer, etc. that is specific to them (e.g. job offer as opposed to job searching).
- Deadlines: May 8 for June ceremonies
- Undergraduate Verification Letters
- Verification letters from the RO confirm only information that is visible on the student record (e.g. enrolment dates, FT/PT status, program/plan, degree conferral information).
- Some letters are available for students to download themselves (Mosaic Student Centre → My Academics → Enrolment/Financial Letters).
- Others are customized requests through Parchment and require consultation with the faculty office. These letters can take up to 10-15 business days to process.
- The Registrar’s Office will not be producing Final Term or Approved to Graduate letters during May reviewing May 4 to 27.
