Ready to take your idea from spark to strategy? The Spring 2026 Health Innovation Bootcamp launches May 19 and brings together students, researchers, clinicians, and aspiring entrepreneurs from across McMaster’s Faculties to explore how real health innovations begin.
Over six hands-on sessions, participants will move from needs identification and problem validation to value proposition design, market insight, regulatory considerations, and pitch development. Guided by experienced facilitators and industry mentors, you’ll learn how to think like an innovator — grounding your idea in real clinical and system needs before building the solution.
This early-stage program is ideal for those who:
- Are curious about health innovation but don’t know where to start
- Have an early idea and want to pressure-test it
- Want to build entrepreneurial skills in a supportive, interdisciplinary environment
- Are considering future programs like Residency @ The Clinic or the Master of Biomedical Innovation (MBI)
What You’ll Gain:
- A structured framework for health innovation
- Feedback from mentors and peers
- A clearer articulation of your problem and solution
- Foundational knowledge in commercialization and venture development
- Connection to McMaster’s broader innovation ecosystem
Whether you’re exploring innovation for the first time or refining an early concept, the Health Innovation Bootcamp is your entry point into building meaningful change in healthcare.
