Tax season, the time when Canadians must prepare and file their income tax returns, can often be stressful. However, as a student, there’s a good chance of receiving money back by filing taxes and assistance is available.
Each year, Mac’s Money Centre, along with campus and community partners, supports the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP). This program provides free tax services to McMaster students and eligible community members in Hamilton and surrounding areas.
Important details:
- To avoid delays in benefits, it’s important to file tax returns by the deadline of April 30, for the 2024 tax year.
