What I’d Vote For is a non-partisan youth civic expression campaign hosted by the Wilson College of Leadership and Civic Engagement.
We invite young people aged 15-30, including McMaster students, high school students and community members to share the local issues, values and ideas they would champion if given the vote. Participants can explore crucial topics like housing, the environment, transit, education, accessibility, community safety, mental health, reconciliation or anything else close to their hearts.
Acceptable Formats Include:
- Visual Art and Photography: Paintings, drawings, collages and photographs.
- Digital Media: Graphic design, digital artwork and short videos (max 2 minutes).
- Creative Writing: Poetry or short written reflections (max 300 words).
Exhibition Details: All accepted digital works will be showcased in an online gallery. A selective symbolic group of exactly 16 physical artworks will be chosen by our committee to be featured in an in-person public exhibition opening at McMaster University on October 16, 2026!
