Meet the Faculty: Human Resources and Management with Dr. Yao
Join us for a 45-minute virtual Lunch & Learn webinar featuring Dr. Yao Yao, Assistant Professor of Human Resources and Management at the DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University.
Dr. Yao will share insights into her research on the digital transformation of work, with a particular focus on professional occupations. Her work examines how digitalization and AI create tensions with existing professional structures and norms, as well as how workers, individually and collectively, make sense of and respond to these changes. She is also interested in unions and worker collectives in the evolving technological landscape. She is available to supervise PhD students in Human Resources and Management.
The session will conclude with an open Q&A, which is a great opportunity for prospective PhD candidates to learn more about research opportunities, the doctoral program at DeGroote and what it’s like to work with Dr. Yao.
