Join us for a 45-minute virtual Lunch & Learn webinar featuring Dr. Maryam Ghasemaghaei, Professor, Area Chair of Information Systems and Canada Research Chair in EDI Issues in Artificial Intelligence (Tier II) at the DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University.
Dr. Ghasemaghaei will share insights into her research on the use of data analytics and artificial intelligence in organizations, with a particular focus on equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) issues in AI. Her work examines biases in AI algorithms and their impacts on decision-making, as well as strategies to mitigate these biases and promote fairer outcomes.
Her research has been published in leading journals including MIS Quarterly, Journal of Management Information Systems and European Journal of Information Systems. She is available to supervise PhD students in Information Systems.
The session will conclude with an open Q&A, providing prospective PhD candidates an opportunity to learn more about research opportunities, the doctoral program at DeGroote and what it is like to work with Dr. Ghasemaghaei.
