As industries, technologies, and societal expectations continue to evolve, organizations need leaders who can anticipate change, navigate uncertainty, and uncover opportunities before they become obvious.
In October 2026, the Foresight Lab at the DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University is hosting Week of the Futures, a curated series of events designed to meet participants wherever they are on their futures-readiness journey. Whether seeking broader perspectives, practical executive insights, or in-depth capability development, participants can engage in the offering that best aligns with their goals.
The 2026 cohort of the Strategic Foresight Certification Program, as part of Week of the Futures, is an immersive hybrid program, co-designed by Dr. Candice Chow, Director of the Foresight Lab, and Dr. Riel Miller, former UNESCO Head of Foresight and Futures Literacy, aiming at equipping participants with practical futures literacy and strategic foresight capabilities that can be applied immediately within their organizations. Combining expert instruction, collaborative learning, hands-on exercises, and tailored strategic guidance, participants work directly on real organizational challenges while developing the skills to identify weak signals, expand strategic alternatives, strengthen organizational resilience, foster innovation, and cultivate experimental leadership.
