Dr. Balaji's research centers on two broad areas: (1) the effects of executives’ characteristics and contexts on their decision-making, and (2) social issues in management. She explores the intersection of these domains, with a focus on topics of relevance to both businesses and stakeholders, such as corporate social responsibility, employee safety, and competitive actions. Her research contributes to a deeper understanding of decision-making by CEOs and other strategic leaders, while advancing conversations around issues with broader societal impact.
