Why DeGroote?

DeGroote’s MBA is ranked in the top 10 best MBA programs in Canada. It offers various specializations for students to choose from. With 8 elective courses, I have lots of power to customize my study plan.

Why an MBA?

After working for 4 years, I gradually realized the importance of leadership and managerial skills. I firmly believe pursuing an MBA degree is a long-term investment that can boost my confidence, help me acquire knowledge, and build up my strategic thinking capability.

What surprised you about DeGroote?

DeGroote is a close-knit community. I am surprised by the amount of support available from the friendly staff who are approachable even during the pandemic. DeGroote has many clubs and career sessions throughout the term, helping students to build up their skills and network.

What piece of advice would you give to anyone considering doing their MBA at DeGroote?

Know your goals and objectives, actively build up your network, and choose the course you are interested in studying, not just the easy one.

What has been the highlight of your DeGroote experience so far?

Meeting new people with diverse backgrounds, sharing personal and work experiences with each other, building up connections even through virtual communication. Incredible peers, professors, and staff at DeGroote have enriched my MBA journey.

Aside from being a MBA Student Ambassador, what other extra-curricular activities have you been involved with while at DeGroote?

I enjoy baking and eating, believing it is a great way to relieve stress. To keep fit, I always treat myself with a dessert after a workout.
