Why DeGroote?

I chose DeGroote because of the people and the culture. DeGroote offers a positive and collaborative environment that provides students with the tools and resources needed to be successful. My experience completing my undergraduate degree at the DeGroote School of Business was exceptional, so it was a no-brainer for me to do my MBA here.

Why an MBA?

I am striving to be a leader in the marketing space and will use the MBA program to further develop my management and technical skills. As Nelson Mandela said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

What piece of advice would you give to anyone considering doing their MBA at DeGroote?

Be as specific as possible with your career goals; the more granularity the better. Then network with companies that are considered thought leaders in the industry you are interested in pursuing a career to, in part, identify any skill gaps. Using your time at DeGroote to fill in those gaps will position you for success.

Tell us one fun fact about you!

I have hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon in Arizona, USA. Descending the steep 10.1km South Kaibab trail to the Colorado river where I spent the night at Phantom Ranch before ascending the 12.6km Bright Angel trail back to the rim.
