Why DeGroote?
I chose DeGroote because of its strong emphasis on experiential learning, its collaborative culture, and the opportunity to complete multiple co-op terms. As an international student transitioning into the Canadian job market, I wanted an MBA that would not only strengthen my business knowledge but also provide real industry experience. DeGroote has given me the opportunity to apply what I learn in the classroom to consulting projects, case competitions, and my co-op experience in the CPG industry.
What piece of advice would you give to anyone considering doing their MBA at DeGroote?
Take advantage of every opportunity beyond the classroom. The value of the MBA comes from saying yes—to networking events, case competitions, consulting projects, clubs, and conversations with alumni and faculty. Also take presentations as a chance to learn the skill and improve on your social and presentation skills and think critically. Those experiences are where you build your confidence, expand your network, and discover the career path that’s right for you.
