As a proud McMaster alum, I already loved the community feel, student diversity, and research-intensive focus at the university. The ‘Education with Purpose’ vision, combined with the outstanding co-op program and supportive environment, led me to pursue my education at DeGroote.
An MBA will provide me with the education and experience to meet my professional goals by combining my passion for healthcare with practical business skills to drive positive and sustainable change in our healthcare system.
I was surprised by how much I have learned outside the classroom from my peers, professors, and mentors. This refined leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills have empowered me, and I know they will continue to enhance my professional career.
My one piece of advice is to step outside of your comfort zone – I believe that challenging yourself can lead to some of the most rewarding and life-changing experiences!
The highlight of my experience so far was when I competed at the MBA Games as a representative on the DeGroote School of Business Team. It was an incredible and fun experience to meet, collaborate, and learn from other students while representing DeGroote in the spirit and athletic categories!
I love camping and canoe tripping – Killarney and Algonquin are two of my favourite parks to explore, but I am always looking for recommendations!
