Why DeGroote?
For me it was the co-op program, hands down. I did my BBA at Trent and I knew an MBA needed to actually get me into the industry, not just teach it in a classroom. The 28-month structure meant I could do that for real, like my co-op at Deloitte in Tax and it’s what pointed me toward consulting and strategy work. Once I got here though, the community side sealed it for me. I’ve always cared about building real connections with people, so a program that actually felt like a community, not just a grind, mattered a lot to me which is what DeGroote is.
What piece of advice would you give to anyone considering doing their MBA at DeGroote?
Get involved outside the classroom, don’t just show up for lectures and leave. Your MBA is like a jet pack: you can leave it empty and still walk to the finish line but fill it with fuel and you don’t just get through it, you fly.
