Why did you choose DeGroote?
After completing my undergraduate degree, I wanted to deepen my understanding of accounting and bridge the gap into finance. DeGroote stood out as one of the few schools offering a wide range of specializations, including finance, along with the opportunity to graduate with a double specialization through highly practical coursework. Additionally, the co-op and summer internship options, supported by a strong industry network, were major advantages. Additionally, DeGroote’s close connections with real businesses and its emphasis on hands-on, real-world business cases were major factors in my decision.
What piece of advice would you give to anyone considering doing their MBA at DeGroote?
Approach the MBA as a leadership journey, not just an academic one. Invest in your soft skills, how you communicate, support others, and handle pressure, because those are what truly define you.
