Biography

Keiwan Wind (PhD, University of Toronto) is an Assistant Professor of Information Systems at the DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University. He is a pragmatic educator and researcher with a keen interest in the convergence of three distinct yet interconnected disciplines:

  1. Digital Transformation
  2. Sustainability in Management
  3. Health and Wellbeing

He develops innovative approaches to apply advanced data science techniques in critical realist studies for evaluating the social impacts of change programs. At present, he is developing a couple of research projects:

  1. Investigating the role of higher education in fostering a sense of coherence among university students and preparing them to understand and manage challenges caused by rapid social and technological changes.
  2. Exploring the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the future jobs and jobs of the future.

Before joining the DeGroote School of Business, Dr. Wind held a postdoctoral associate position at the University of Rochester, where he enhanced his expertise in implementation science and grant development.

In addition to his PhD, Dr. Wind holds a Collaborative Doctoral Degree in Global Health (University of Toronto Global Scholar) from the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto, an MSc in eHealth from DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University, an MBA from Sharif University of Technology, and a BEng in Software Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology.
