Why DeGroote?
I applied to McMaster University – DeGroote School of Business for my MBA program, which goes to show my special interest towards McMaster! I enjoy the community and other student ambassadors that I talked to, when I first joined the program, were helpful and accessible. I also found that McMaster University is very transparent about campus involvement opportunities, such as joining clubs, volunteering, fundraising, networking, and attending social events. I will continue to make the most out of my experience here at DeGroote!
What piece of advice would you give to anyone considering doing their MBA at DeGroote?
Ignore any hesitation or self-doubt that you may have when considering whether to pursue an MBA at DeGroote. As someone with a background in healthcare, it was reassuring for me to see and learn from other students with a non-business background, which represented the majority of my cohort. Do not limit yourself to your undergraduate degree, as you will have many opportunities to grow and develop new skills and knowledge. This program will sometimes feel like a pressure cooker with its competitive nature but will surely shape you to be the best possible version of yourself. Most importantly, take the most out of this program as it will fly by, network, and remember to enjoy your journey ahead!
