Dr. Yingnan Zhao received her PhD in Economics from the University of Zurich, Switzerland. Her research interests lie in financial economics and banking, with a particular focus on modelling bank-firm lending relationships and examining how these interactions shape macroeconomic outcomes. Dr. Zhao also investigates the role of technological innovation, such as artificial intelligence and fintech, in transforming financial institutions, particularly how they reshape lending practices and financial intermediation with broader implications for economic stability and policy.
