Appointment Policy: You can cancel your appointment at any time

With Advising Appointments in high demand, it disrupts both the Advisors that are booked and prevents other students from getting the support they need when students do not attend their booked appointments.

Please make sure you are familiar with our appointment policies which ensure appointment availability for all students:

Cancellation Policy:

You can cancel your appointment through our system at any time before the appointment starts to avoid being marked as a no-show.

No-Show Limit:

The system allocates up to 3 no-shows per year for each student. If this limit is reached, access to booking further appointments will be paused until further review.

To ensure you can continue to book appointments, please cancel any future appointments in OSCARplus if you are no longer able to attend. Your cancellation will reopen that timeslot for another student to gain support.

What to do if you have reached your No-Show limit:

To regain access, please visit us in the Student Experience Undergraduate Programs Office (DSB A102) or email us at buscom@mcmaster.ca to request a meeting with a manager.
