The Spring 2025 Ceremony will take place the week of June 16-20. The Convocation date will be announced on the Office of the Registrar’s website.

As you get ready to celebrate your achievements at Convocation, please follow these essential steps to make sure that everything is set for your big day.

  • Review your advisement report on Mosaic > Student Centre > My Academics > View my advisement report.
    • If you are missing any requirements, schedule an appointment with an academic advisor on OSCARplus.
  • Check your graduation status on Mosaic > Student Centre > My Academics > View my graduation status.
    • If your status is ‘Eligible to Graduate’, you DO NOT need to apply to graduate. Once all final grades have been posted to Mosaic, we will conduct a final manual review of your academic record. If you have met all degree requirements, you will be ‘Cleared to Graduate’.
  • Declare your Minor or Certificate (if applicable).
    • The Minor/Certificate tile will be available on the Mosaic homepage in March. To declare your Minor or Certificate, you will need to add all the courses you took towards the minor, and submit the form once complete.
  • Verify your primary name on Mosaic > Student Centre > Personal Information > Names > Primary Name.
    • Need to update it? Submit a name change form via Mosaic Service Request.
  • Ensure there are no outstanding balances on your student account in Mosaic.
    • You cannot receive your diploma until all outstanding balances are paid.
  • RSVP for your ceremony even if you are not planning to attend
    • Monitor your McMaster email for an email invitation to access MarchingOrder. Once you receive the invitation, follow the instructions to complete all required fields in the RSVP form.
  • Claim your guest tickets.
    • Monitor your McMaster email for the instructions to claim them once they are released via MarchingOrder.
