Lab2Market Validate Foundations (National Health)
Are you eager to bring your idea to market but unsure where to start? As a researcher in emerging technologies with a health application, you may sense the commercial potential of your work but need guidance on how to take the first step and tap into the resources around you.
Important details:
- Eligibility criteria: Undergraduate, Graduate, postdoc, and faculty interested in entrepreneurship, and currently involved in research with a health-related focus at a Canadian college or university.
- Program runs December 2-5; three-days (nine hours total) through virtual participation on Zoom
- Application deadline: November 25

Think your idea has potential? This program is focused on validating your market through customer discovery interviews. With Lab2Market Validate, you’ll be given the mentors, resources, entrepreneurship education, and the network to explore the possibilities of your work. Validate alumni often say, “This program was the turning point for me in my commercialization journey.”

- Eligibility criteria: Undergraduate, Graduate, postdoc, recent alumni eligible for Mitacs-BSI currently involved in research at an Ontario college or university.
- $10k stipend for the entrepreneurial lead.
- Program runs May to September; 30-hours/week commitment via virtual participation on Zoom
- Information session: Tuesday, November 25

A transformative 4-month accelerator program designed to help entrepreneurial research teams turn innovative ideas into scalable technology-based ventures. This program connects participants with the expertise, resources, and networks essential for success while driving accountability as they achieve critical milestones on their entrepreneurial journey.
Important details:
- Eligibility criteria: Undergraduate, graduate, postdoc, recent alumni eligible for Mitacs-BSI currently involved in research at an Ontario college or university. Must have already completed significant amount of customer discovery (50+ interviews).
- $10k stipend for the entrepreneurial lead.
- Program runs May to September; 30-hours/week commitment via virtual participation on Zoom
- Application deadline: November 30 at 11:59 p.m. ET
