‘The Business of Being You’, by the DeGroote MBA Marketing Association (DMMA) and the DeGroote Women in Management Association (WMA), is an evening designed to bring together the DeGroote MBA community, industry professionals and local entrepreneurs for a unique networking experience that blends career insights, innovation and great food.
The event will feature a panel discussion from 6:00 p.m. – 6:45 p.m. with professors and industry experts sharing insights on personal branding, careers and navigating today’s evolving business landscape and the challenges and opportunities that AI brings. Throughout the evening, attendees can explore small business vendor stalls showcasing local entrepreneurs with unique items like chocolate-covered strawberries, deserts, ceramics, jewelry and other specialty offerings.
One of the highlights of the event will be the AI Lab hosted by the MBAi Club, where guests can experience fun interactive demonstrations of AI tools. Activities include things like a *LinkedIn Roast*, where AI gives humorous but insightful feedback on your profile.
The evening will also include:
- Free mocktails and coffee
- A delicious spread of food (shawarma, kebabs and more)
- Networking with MBA students, professors, and industry professionals
- Small business pop-ups and interactive experiences
- Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase
To add a little excitement, the first students to register for the event will automatically be entered into a raffle for a grand prize, which will be drawn during the event.
