Leaders of tomorrow require a new set of capabilities. Through a unique experiential learning approach facilitated by McMaster University and Janssen Inc. (Janssen), the Diverse Future Leaders Program helps early-career researchers and clinicians build awareness of career opportunities in a variety of settings (industry, hospital, academia, entrepreneurship), learn about key skills required for new graduates (with a focus on diverse and inclusive leadership practices), build up their network, and apply the knowledge and skills they learn to either a leadership project or internship at Janssen.
The program runs from January 15 to July 26, 2024. It includes weekly sessions with leaders from industry, academia, entrepreneurship and hospital settings, and monthly workshops to help early-career leaders develop skills in building transformational and inclusive environments. Longitudinal coaching and mentorship is provided throughout the program, and especially during the final leadership project or Janssen internship in Summer 2024.
Full program requirements and details are listed here. The program is free for all participants.
