Hosted by TECHNATION, this virtual competition invites post-secondary students from all programs to investigate one of today’s most pressing questions: How is artificial intelligence shaping Canada’s workforce, and how can we ensure the benefits are shared equitably?
Your challenge:
Use labour market information (LMI) and demographic data to explore how AI adoption is expected to impact the workforce across different groups – including income levels, gender, race, and region. Analyze emerging employment trends and predict which populations are likely to benefit from AI-driven change, and which may face new or heightened barriers.
Then, use your analysis to develop a data-informed solution or insight that addresses the challenges and opportunities of AI in the workforce. Propose a tool, framework, or policy idea that helps ensure that AI creates pathways for all people to thrive.
