A few CVC groups are in need of more volunteers to help out with underserved youth and kids in Hamilton 🤝. Please consider signing up or let your friends know – our next group starts this coming week! Sign up here.

Community Volunteer Circles (CVC) has more than 15 weekly volunteer groups to choose from. You can still sign up for a group and make a difference this semester! Each group volunteers weekly and is led by a student facilitator who leads a 20-30 minute group reflection on your service experiences after each volunteer session.

Groups in particular need of volunteers include:

  • LAF (Tuesdays from 2:45 – 5:50 p.m.) – Mentor underserved kids (Grades 1-8) in small groups and one-on-one using creative and fun tools to assist with financial literacy activities, homework completion, and social skills.
  • Let’s get moving (Wed 3:30 – 5:50 p.m.) – Help facilitate an after-school program for children in grades 1-6, with a focus on active living, personal health & wellness, and nutrition. Lead activities such as crafts, sports, cooking, and local trips.
  • Pathways to Education (Wed 4:00 – 7:20 p.m.) – Tutor high school students through homework assignments, studying, social engagement and conversation. Volunteers must be 18 or older, and a strong proficiency in English is required.
