Biography

Dr. Barr holds a PhD in Health Policy (McMaster), an MSc in Kinesiology (McMaster), and a BA in Psychology (Western). He has several years of experience managing collaborative/interdisciplinary health programs and multinational clinical trials. Previous research and work experience have been in paediatric oncology, spinal cord injury, and cardiology, with a focus on health/exercise psychology and quality of life. His current interests include the role of information and communication technology in enhancing information exchange among health care providers and increasing access to quality care, as well as the relationship between health policy and social organization (e.g., professional guidelines/roles and organizational behaviour/culture). He teaches a variety of courses across the Business Administration, Health Management, eHealth, and Global Health graduate programs.
