Why DeGroote?
I resonated with DeGroote’s mission of “Education with Purpose”. DeGroote has helped me in personal exploration and has provided my purpose to support the community and discover my passion for analytics. The collaborative and thoughtful culture at DeGroote has always captivated me and further encouraged to help others. It was extremely surprising when my seniors went out of their way to guide and comfort me even before I planned to join DeGroote. MBA is a degree is bound to be stressful but with the exceptionally nurturing and growth-oriented atmosphere at DeGroote, MBA would feel like a breeze.
Why an MBA?
MBA will help me hone widely applicable qualities of critical and analytical thinking , leadership and communication. The skills acquired through an MBA will not only help me in my career growth but will also help me to achieve my personal goals. The broader worldview and the amazing networking opportunities will expand my horizons significantly. One of the side effects of MBA is that I have become self-disciplined and I am able to mange my time much more efficiently.
What surprised you about DeGroote?
It has to be the supportive culture at DeGroote that surprised and fascinated me the most. Be it the seniors, the CPD or the faculty, they are always at the forefront to help and guide you in whichever way possible. Also, DeGroote has helped me in redefining myself in my personal as well as professional arenas by giving me immense opportunities to learn through phenomenal client projects, case competitions and empirical growth possibilities.
What piece of advice would you give to anyone considering doing their MBA at DeGroote?
Take your time and most importantly Be a Forever Student!
What has been the highlight of your DeGroote experience so far?
The people in the program have made my journey so much better and definitely that’s a highlight for me. I got the opportunity to work with extremely talented people in Semester One. Even though my Learning Group(shoutout to LG4) had people in three different countries(three different timezones) and thanks to the pandemic- we started our MBA online, we learnt from each other’s skills and our collaboration produced great results. I grew on a professional as well as a personal level working with my fantastic peers.
Although away from my family , I have made friends at DeGroote who are just like my family.
Aside from being an MBA Student Ambassador, what other extra-curricular activities have you been involved with while at DeGroote?
