Jennifer Prasad

Biography

My name is Jennifer Prasad, I’m currently completing my MBA in the BLPT program, class of 2025.

I completed my undergrad Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo and have also earned my Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation.

My professional background has been in the HR field with roles in Engineering Consulting and Retail corporations. Currently I work in the I.T. Sector for 3D Network Technology as an Operations/HR Manager. My current role is fast-paced, challenging and full of learnings.

Outside of work and school, I’m a proud mom of 3 young boys who keep me on my toes!

Pursuing my MBA has been a goal of mine for as long as I can remember. Although it can be a balancing act sometimes I’ve been really enjoying the journey so far!

What attracted you to the BLPT MBA Program at DeGroote?

I was attracted to the BLPT program because of the reputation of McMaster and DeGroote. I also really like unique structure of the program. It provides the flexibility with online lectures and also the benefit of in-person residencies.

What has been the highlight of your DeGroote experience?

I’ve really enjoyed the opportunity to meet and interact with fellow students and professors throughout the program so far.

What surprised you about your experience at DeGroote?

I was pleasantly surprised to learn about how applicable our learnings are to everyday professional situations.

How has this program impacted your career?

So far this program has impacted my career in a positive way. The material, ability to network and meet new people has been a great benefit.

What advice do you have for someone looking to pursue their MBA while continuing to work full-time?

My advice would be to do your research to determine the best program and structure that works for your professional and personal life.”
