Why DeGroote?
As my education background is primarily in science, I recognize I have a lack of work experience within the business industry. This is one of the reasons I chose the DeGroote MBA co-op program for my postgraduate studies. Having the opportunity to experience work terms during the program will give me the ability to make valuable connections with business leaders and have the chance to apply my learning within the program to real life business matters. DeGroote has a long-standing reputation associated with the program and key relationships with many important corporations that would help open more doors for work opportunities post-graduation. McMaster is known for their exceptional health and business programs which makes my decision to choose McMaster that much clearer. With the numerous specializations offered in the MBA program I am able to explore different paths that I would have never considered or continue to grow in the healthcare industry with the Health Services Management specialization.
What piece of advice would you give to anyone considering doing their MBA at DeGroote?
Just go for it, and stay open to all the opportunities that come your way. An MBA can open doors you didn’t even know existed, and some of the most valuable experiences might be the ones you never expected.
