Why DeGroote?
While I was figuring out the right business program at top universities for my profile, I came across the MBA with Co-op program at DeGroote. I was impressed by the comfort and support the alumni and staff gave me once I attended the information session and connected with them. In addition to that, the course offerings, career opportunities, extracurricular activities, diverse class profile, faculty, experiential learning, and Co-op opportunities to explore different career paths made me choose DeGroote School of Business.
Why an MBA?
Having an undergraduate degree in Engineering, I always wanted to build a holistic profile and hence decided to pursue an MBA to bridge the gap between science and business. Also, a MBA will help me to build my professional network, and develop my managerial skills which will assist me to become a better leader in the future.
What surprised you about DeGroote?
As someone who started my MBA virtually, I was very skeptical on how the MBA journey is going to be. However, I was really surprised by the welcome and support I got from the DeGroote community right from the recruitment process to the in-person classes at the Ron Joyce Centre.
What piece of advice would you give to anyone considering doing their MBA at DeGroote?
Have loads of fun while doing your MBA! The journey is going to be one roller coaster ride filled with a mixed bag of network building, academic stress, friendships and professional development. Just go with the flow, you never know what in there for you.
What has been the highlight of your DeGroote experience so far?
My best experience at DeGroote was when I was working as a Marketing lead for DeGroote Innovative Solutions Competition. I absolutely loved interacting with my team and on building a memorable case competition for MBA students to develop their business acumen.
