Why DeGroote?

I was strongly attracted to DeGroote because of their reputation for excellence, community-focused values and the coop program. Coming from a science background with close to no experience with business, the coop program was especially important to me so that I could gain valuable experience and apply the new skills I was learning. I also knew I wanted to continue working in healthcare so the option for specializing in healthcare and McMaster’s reputation as a leader in the industry drew me to this program.

What piece of advice would you give to anyone considering doing their MBA at DeGroote?

Take advantage of the resources that are offered to you. Don’t hesitate to reach out to the supports that DeGroote provides to applicants. I personally found speaking to ambassadors and recruiters during events such as the open house, coffee chats and webinars to be helpful during the application process. Speaking to an ambassador with a similar background and experience to my own was the final push for me to apply.
