Ivey’s Women in Asset Management summer program provides you with a month of in-class training combined with a 10-12 week internship at an asset management firm. Available to students who self-identify as women and who are completing their second year of studies at any Canadian university. In-class training occurs in May followed by an internship from June until August.
Program dates:
A two-day pre-program weekend from March 21 to 22, followed by in-class sessions May 1 to 30. These sessions will take place in the Ivey building. Internships begin in June, and continue until August.
Classroom learning:
The in-class sessions provide the skills, knowledge, and competencies to help you launch a career in asset management. The sessions cover technical skills, industry knowledge, and career success.
Internship experience:
You will experience asset management hands-on through a 10-12 week paid internship, with mentoring and networking opportunities at a bank, pension fund, hedge fund, or other asset management firm.
Free tuition:
The WAM program is tuition-free and is subsidized by our corporate sponsors who support our mission. We also provide course materials, accommodations, selected meals, and networking events. You just need to provide your own accommodation during the internship.
How to apply:
- The application requires a resume, two letters of recommendation, two short essays and a short video that introduces yourself and describes why you should be part of the program.
- Candidates that make it through an initial screening will be interviewed by a selection committee.
