Call for GR0wth Venture Showcase Judges | Mar 8
February 26, 2026
Contributed by: Shelley Rottenberg
Throughout the term, students enrolled in Commerce 2GR0 have been working in groups of ~5 to design a business venture. Their goal is to design a product or service that addresses a United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG). At the GR0wth Venture Showcase, students will pitch their Venture to receive grades for their course, as well as the opportunity to win awards for Best Overall Venture, Best Visual, Biggest Impact, and Audience Choice!
At the Showcase, students will pitch their Venture, as well as present a supporting visual (poster, pamphlet, prototype, etc.). We are hoping that you will judge students to provide them with feedback on their final deliverable—a key part of the experiential learning process.
Each judge will be assigned 3-4 groups to judge. Judges will have the opportunity to visit Ventures that they have not been assigned. The event will conclude with speeches from our Entrepreneur-in-Residence, Tej Sandu, senior DeGroote leadership, and the course instructor. We are seeking Level III, IV and V Commerce and IBH students to act as judges for the GR0wth Venture Showcase.
The event dates, times and locations are as follows:
- Tuesday, March 17 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. in The Loft (The Hub)
