North America is moving toward clean, sustainable electrical energy to support Canada’s Net Zero 2050 goal. Achieving this requires significant investment in electrical infrastructure—including generation, transmission, distribution (the grid), and everyday devices like vehicles. The electrical grid must undergo extensive replacement, renewal, and expansion, all of which rely on strong supply chains for essential equipment. Building a sustainable supply chain demands substantial effort.
This lecture will explore the challenges and opportunities in this rapidly growing market.
Join Ron Harper, CEO and President of JFE Shoji Power Canada, and Professor Elkafi Hassini as they discuss the evolving electric grid supply chain and its role in advancing Canada’s Net Zero 2050 objectives.
