McMaster University is hosting its annual Entrepreneurship Week from November 17 to 21, celebrating Global Entrepreneurship Week with a series of events designed to inspire innovation and support entrepreneurial growth.

The theme “Together We Build” emphasizes inclusive entrepreneurship and showcases innovations developed at McMaster.

Key events include:

• “I am an Entrepreneur, Ask Me Anything” pop-up office hours with DeGroote’s Entrepreneur In Residence on November 17 and 18, offering students direct access to entrepreneurial advice.
• The Clinic Residency Pitch Competition on November 17, where health-focused startups will compete for $5,000 in funding.
• The Postdoc Entrepreneur Pitch Competition on November 18, with postdoctoral researchers pitching for up to $75,000 in salary support.
• Financial workshops such as “From Side Hustle to Startup” on November 18, focusing on financial planning for student entrepreneurs.
• McMaster Makers Market on November 19, 20, and 21, providing a platform for student, staff, faculty, and alumni entrepreneurs to showcase and sell their products.
• The Forge Startup Survivor Pitch Competition on November 19, featuring student and alumni startups competing for $30,000.
• Innovation Inspo sessions and The Forge Office Hours to support entrepreneurs at various stages.
