Pilot Study: Calling MBA Students for a Lab Study on Video Lecture Experiences

Dear MBA Students,

Fatma Elbabour, a PhD Candidate in Information Systems at McMaster University, is seeking participants from our MBA program to study student experiences with video lectures. The research is part of Fatma’s doctoral studies at McMaster University’s Digital Transformation Research Centre under the supervision of Dr. Milena Head.

Taking part or not taking part in this study will not affect your status or any services you receive through the school.

Study Overview: MBA students are invited to participate in a research experiment involving video lecture viewing, questionnaire completion, eye tracking, physiological measurements, and a brief interview. The study is expected to take approximately 60 minutes to complete, and participants will receive up to $50 e-gift card compensation.

Additional Details:

  • Participants will complete a brief online questionnaire within 24 hours before the lab experiment.
  • Eligible participants are full-time and part-time MBA students, including accelerated MBA programs.
  • The lab experiment will take place on the 4th floor of the RJC building.
  • All potential participants must complete an initial eligibility screening. If you meet the study’s participation criteria, Fatma will contact you to schedule a time for the lab experiment.
  • This study has been reviewed and received ethics clearance from the McMaster Research Ethics Board (#7860).

This research is an opportunity to contribute to understanding digital learning experiences while receiving compensation for your time.
