For Business 1 Students (Entry to Honours Commerce Level II), the Program/Plan Selection Tool will be open on Mosaic from April 2 to April 29 at 11:59 p.m. All Business 1 students must complete the tool by the end of April to indicate their intended Level 2 program for the upcoming academic year.
Who Needs to Complete This
- All students currently enrolled in Business 1 are required to complete the Program/Plan Selection Tool.
- Students already in Commerce Level II or Level III do not need to complete this process.
How to Access the Program / Plan Selection Tool
- Students transitioning from a Level I program into a specific Level II program must indicate their preferred program choices in Mosaic:
- Mosaic → Student Centre → My Academics → Program/Plan Application
- Additional details about the Level II Program Selection process are available through the Office of the Registrar
Step 1: Select Your Level 2 Program Intention
When completing the Program/Plan Selection Tool, Business 1 students must select one of the following options:
- Continue into Level 2 Commerce
- Continue into Level 2 Commerce, but you may not meet the requirements to remain in the Commerce program
- Transfer out of Commerce and apply to a different McMaster program
Students who are unsure whether they meet the requirements should still complete the tool and select the option that best reflects their situation.
Step 2: Rank Your Program Choices
Students may rank up to four (4) Level 2 program choices, with:
- #1 as the top choice
- #4 as the lowest choice
- Applications are assessed in ranking order.
Honours Commerce Level II Admission Requirements
According to the Undergraduate Academic Calendar, to be considered, Business 1 students must have:
- A minimum GPA of 5.0
- Completion of at least 24 units of Business 1 coursework
