A new year has just begun, and as we welcome both new and returning students, it is time to shake off the summer haze and remind you how to best communicate with your Advising Office.
- Always email buscom@mcmaster.ca from your McMaster email, this ensures your emails don’t end up in the spam folder.
- Always include your student number! We need this to look up your student account, if you omit this from your emails, it slows us down in helping you as we first have to email you asking for it!
- Be concise in your emails. The clearer the information and request, the faster we can help you. The more we have to email back and forth, the longer it takes to get to the end result. We answer emails in the order we receive them. Emailing our office multiple times slows down everything for everyone.
- Read the bulletins! Just like this one, every week we post useful information, reminders for important dates, links to resources. 99% of your questions can be answered through the bulletin posts or our website.
- Think of DeGroote’s Current Student Resources as your go-to guide! No need to wait for email replies during office hours – This page is available 24/7 to give you instant answers and peace of mind.
