The Summer Leadership Program (SLP) is a unique political summer internship designed to invest in the success of young leaders across Canada. This program provides meaningful employment opportunities within federal Liberal politics, connecting participants with summer positions in the offices of Members of Parliament, Ministers, the Prime Minister’s Office, and the Liberal Research Bureau.
Important details:
- SLP 2026 will run for 16 weeks, from May 4 to August 21.
- The program will be primarily in-person, with participants in Ottawa for the first 8 weeks (May 4 – June 26).
- The second half (June 29 – August 21) offers flexibility with virtual, in-person, or hybrid options, so offices can design an experience that works best for their team and maximizes their intern’s contribution.
