Fall enrollment is in full swing and the new semester is just days away! During this stressful time, here are the ways you can best communicate with your Advising team.
When emailing buscom@mcmaster.ca:
- Always include your student number when corresponding with our office! We need the number to look you up in Mosaic. If you do not provide us with the number, it delays us being able to help you.
- We answer emails in the order they are received.
- Sending multiple emails is unnecessary and counter productive. We will respond to you! But we are receiving overwhelming numbers of emails and responding to each email takes time and attention.
Booking appointments:
- From September 2 – September 10 we are only offering the following:
- In-person drop-in sessions: Weekdays, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM on a first come, first served basis
- Virtual appointments: 15-minute appointments, bookable through OSCARplus. Appointments should only be booked for add/drop related inquiries. All other non-enrollment inquiries must wait until September 15th.
- Regular Advising Appointments will resume on September 15th
If OscarPlus is preventing you from booking an appointment:
- Please email us a list of days and times you are available, and *include your student number*. We will do our best to schedule you an appointment.
- Be kind: Remember that we are here to help you. We are a small but mighty team working very hard to provide support to every one of our students.
