Celebration of Life: Professor Clarence Kwan
Clarence Chiu Yin Kwan, Professor Emeritus of Finance at the DeGroote School of Business, passed away on January 22, 2026. His retirement in January of 2025 marked 45 years of service at McMaster University. A recipient of the S.J. Basu Teaching Award, Clarence will be remembered for his deep commitment to teaching excellence and mentorship throughout his remarkable career.
We invite the McMaster and broader community to join us in celebration of the life and legacy of Dr. Clarence Kwan.
